Send me the summer

from the top of the mountain

I'll show you the ferns

that flourish under fog banks

Follow the river out to the sea

Take my hand 

where the sky and ocean meet

as the sun slips away

and the moon lights the streets

and hold me

and listen

as our two hearts beat.
